Help with Realtek wireless and drivers?

i recently got a new hard drive for my computer (HPE-070a HP pavillion desktop) and i have installed some drivers for motherboard and graphics card and i think everything is going fins so far, but i still cannot access the internet. I have tried to find drivers for the wireless card to see if that would help, but i still cannot access the internet at all. Under device manager there is a 802.11 wireless LAN card, and realtek GBE family controller, both say they are working fine, but they are not detecting any wireless networks and it is not a problem with the modem or router. Any idea of what to do?
